Passenger's Goods

  1. What is meant by 'Passenger's Goods'?
    • Goods carried by passenger of ship/airplane in one trip.
    • Baggage arriving 3 months after the passenger's arrival by ship or airplanes
  2. Passenger's good can be categorized into :
    • Passenger's goods exempted from customs duties and other import duties and taxes.
    • Passenger's goods subject to customs duties and other import duties and taxes.
  3. Passenger's goods exempted from customs duties and other import duties and taxes.
    • Goods for personal used during trip such as clothes, shoes, wrist-watch or bag at value not exceeding FOB US$ 250.00.
    • Cigarettes not exceeding 200, or cigars up to 50, or tobacco up to 100 grams and alcohol not exceeding 1 liter per adult.
    • Camera, video camera, radio/portable radio cassette, binoculars and sport equipment in normal quantities requires by foreign tourists while in Indonesia.
  4. Goods will be subject to customs duties and other import duties and taxes if its value exceeds the fixed value, example :
    • Goods for passenger valued at FOB US$ 750.00, the customs duties and other import duties and taxes will be applied to the balance exceeding the fixed value, i.e. FOB US$ 500.00 (US$ 750.00 - US$ 250.00).
    • Goods per family at FOB US$ 1500.00, the customs duties and other import duties and taxes will be applied to the balance exceeding the fix value, i.e. FOB US$ 500.00 (US$ 1500.00 - US$ 1000.00).
Notice !
  1. Without the approval of the authorized institutions, the following items are prohibited for importation to Indonesia Territory: narcotics, fire-arms, gas-operated gun, ammunitions, spring gun, explosives, transceiver, cordless telephone, colored photocopy machine, materials/pornographic publications, printed material in Chinese language/character, Chinese medicines.
  2. Importing of films, videos tapes, video laser disc, long play should go through authorized censor institutions.
  3. Concealment/evasion of goods from inspection or giving false declaration to the customs and excise officials are violations on which sanctions may be imposed in accordance with the regulations in force.
