Gamelan From Puro Mangkunagaran

  1. Kyai Udan Riris (Slenoro) and Kyai Udan Arum (Pelog)
    These complete sets of Gamelan were made by K.G.PAA Mangkunagoro I and belonged to him, when he was joining his uncle at the same time his father in law. Prince Mangkubumi (Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I) in Yogyakarta, Mataram. His age was between 16 to 22 year old (1739-1747).

  2. Kyai Kanyut (Slendro) and Kyai Mesem (Pelog).
    They were made when Prince Adipati Mangkunagoro was between the age brackets of 22 to 28 year old. (1743-1752). In the region of Yogyakarta-Mataram, when he joined his father in law. Prince Mangkubumi / Sultan Hamengkubuwono I.
    He chose the best empus/experts of Gamelan makers from various part of Mataram to help him produce these complete sets of Gamelan. The quality is superb, its sound is perfect. The name of the Gong is Kyai Angun-Angun.

  3. The Gamelan Corobalen Kyai Baswara, its Gong Kyai Dudhabangsong.
    It was seized by Prince Adipati Mangkunagoro from Demak. It was used by him during the war to heighten his soldier’s spiritual fighting.

  4. Kyai Pamedarsih (Kodok Ngorek)
    The creation of K.G.P.AA Mangkunagoro I

  5. Kyai Sagarawindu (Monggang Pakurmatan)
    The creation of K.G.P.AA Mangkunagoro I.

  6. Kyai Lipur Tambahoneng

The complete Gamelan set slendro and pelog, the creation of K.G.P.AA Mangkunagoro I.

All above Gamelan are placed in the Pendopo/hall of the Palace, except the Gamelan set Kyai Lipur Tambahoneng is kept in Prangwadanan.
