The Goethe-Institut

The Goethe-Institut is a worldwide nonprofit-organization promoting the German language and culture. It has about 140 branches in 76 countries all over the world and 18 institutions in several cities in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Since its establishment in 1951, the Goethe Institut is an official Institution of the Federal Republic of Germany promoting the German language and international cooperation in the field of culture.
